I have been diagnosed with Crohns Disease, Cysts and Fibromyalgia. I've had my colon removed but continue to have pain with no known cause
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I was diagnosed with Crohns 30 years ago. Ive had multiple surgeries including having my entire colon and small sections of my small intestine removed. I still have daily, intense abdominal pain with CT scans and tests showing nothing. I have been told it's in my head. Cysts were discovered on my uterus which was also removed - doctors said this would solve the abdominal pain issue. STILL having pain two years later. Every trip to the doctor or ER leaves me with no answers. I've been depressed, unable to hold a full time job or do things with my family. The pain is debilitating and intense - usually in the lower abdomen - sometimes traveling to different areas. Last year I was also diagnosed with fibromyalgia for the untested widespread pain that affects almost all parts of my body. Medications for this do not seem to help. I am at my wits end and doctors in my area now just treat me as a drug seeker when thats not what I want - I just want answers and to have my life back without all the pain.
