Please HELP! Undiagnosed medical mystery. Can barely BREATHE, WALK, SLEEP, OR FUNCTION THROUGHOUT THE DAY!
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
For over a year, my father has been experiencing extreme vertigo and dizziness daily to the point where he's almost falling over and can't walk straight, he has severe chest pain and has a heavy feeling in his chest as if someone is sitting on him, he has shortness of breath and trouble breathing, he has constant ringing in his ears, blurred vision, and now is experiencing tingling and numbness in his arms and legs. Also, his hands and feet are cold as if he can't get enough circulation. The tingling is so intense it keeps him up at night and he can't sleep because it is so severe. He has been in constant pain for over a year with no answers. He has been to numerous specialists (Neurologist, ENT, pulmonologist, cardiologist, vestibular therapist, vascular surgeon, and has had blood work done and his thyroid checked) in TWO different states (Colorado and North Carolina) only for every test to come back normal and for every doctor to have no clue what is causing all of his symptoms. No one has been able to give us an answer or tell us what is going on but this is affecting his daily functioning. He can't sleep and even when he is sitting down, he feels like he is about to fall over sometimes because he is so dizzy. He feels like he has to constantly fight himself not to fall over because if he gives in then he’ll just pass out from being so dizzy. He has trouble walking straight and even breathing. More often than not, he doesn’t sleep because he can’t breathe at all. This is severely affecting his everyday life and simple tasks he cannot do anymore because he can barely walk straight or breathe. My dad is getting to the point where he is hopeless and starting to give up because this has remained undiagnosed by every single doctor in two different states. Please help! There’s nowhere else to go from here. Also, if this is important, my father did have a stent placed in his heart in May 2018 and after being released from the hospital after his stent placement, all of these symptoms have appeared and worsened over time. He does have high blood pressure and now is on a low-fat diet.
