ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
My husband Kenny (23) has had gone blind in less than 6 months in 2018. He woke up one morning in February 2018 and stared to have blurry vision in left eye. About a week lasted he had a optometrist appointment and they said that his optic nerves had looked sick. The blurriest had gone from the left eye to the right eye within a few weeks. He was admitted and had IV steroids. Blood tests were taken and LP was done.Nothing came back positive for any disease and the LP showed less than 5 bands. At the time he only had the vision problem. He was diagnosed with optic neuritis and relapsed with it again 4 months again and readmitted again for IV steroids treatment again and immunosuppressive IV med was out in. Within 1 month of treatment he went completely blind. Biopsy to test for lupus and came back negative. Treatments didn’t work and now he has more symptoms of MS showing but doctors are reporting that he doesn’t have MS. Genetic tests come back negative as well. He is having a lot of confusion and gastrointestinal problems. He was vomiting once a day for months because of the stress of this going on for him. He had an ulcer that was trying to heal but he kept vomiting which mad it worse. He finally stopped vomiting recently and once in while he will have anxiety and it causes his stomach to react. He has had plasmapheresis treatment done back this past May.
2 years ago he used to be 170 lbs, now he weighs at 110 which is very underweight.
So now doctors keep throwing his case out because he is too complicated. He has a pre existing diabetes insipidus condition and has low testosterone which being monitored by his Endocronologist since 2015. Those conditions stump doctors as well cause he hasn’t had anything happen to him that would cause DI and Low Testosterone (hypogonadism)
Please someone needs to find out what is wrong!!! He has gone blind and also has been denied disability. It’s not right and I miss my husband of who he used to be. He had so many talents and hobbies he misses doing. This is a lot hardship.
