ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I'm seeking your help because I have been misdiagnosed and have been treated for 20+ years for the wrong condition. I have been suffering with chronic pain and headaches for over 20+ years. I was diagnosised with Fibromyalgia in 1999. I have severe pain all over my body that feels like I've been in a fight of hit by a mack truck. The pain can last a few day or a few weeks or longer. Sometimes I can wake up feeling great and a hour later feel crappy. It causes me to feel lonely, depressed, and miserable. I have had every test you can imagine MRI, CAT scans, EMG, body scan, EEG, Doplar, Ultrasound, Temporal Artery biopsy, all types of blood test, xrays and they always come back normal. But the doctors usually say things like I don't understand why she's in so much pain or why the medicine is not helping her. At one point in my life I just felt like I was just being passed around from one specialist to the next because nobody really knew what was happening to my body but clearly something is wrong with me. It got so bad that I had to stop working because the headaches and body pain especially my back pain was unbearable. I have seen a Rheumatologist, Neurologist and Pain Management specialist. They just gave me alot of pills. When I stop working the first time the only way I was able to return after 5 years was because I was getting steroid injections in my back to basically mask the pain. This procedure along with pain meds and headache medication allowed me to return to work. I continued working but it was a struggle because the body pain and headaches started coming back much stronger and I wasn't able to get the injections as frequent as before. I worked for 5 years until the headaches we're unbearable and nothing was helping and I had to stop working again. After I stopped working I had two unexplained pulmonary embolisms and four DVT's. Headaches are still an issue and I'm still suffering with the body pain especially my back. In May this year I was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune diseases call Urticarial Vasculitis. I was told by several doctors that this was probably what's been wrong all along but its not easy to diagnose. They told me I need to see a Rheumatologist but because my condition is rare be careful not to become someone's ginny pig. In May I started breaking out in this strange rash that look like giant hives that didn't itch but they hurt. If I hadn't broke out in the rash any dermatologist was able to get a biopsy of it I still would just be getting treated for symptoms and not the disease. My entire body had a tingly prickly feeling that also has a burning sensation. This the worst feeling because nothing seems to stop it. I get swelling in my ankels and a rash that hurts. I stay tired because I don't get a good night of sleep. I have tried four different antihistamines to stop the sensation on my skin and it didn't work. I have took steroids that didn't help. My doctors don't want to try more because they don't want to cause damage to my organs. As far as medication I have taken muscle relaxers, anti dispersant, pain pills, I'm on blood thinners, and headache pills. I have had physical therapy, steroid injections and counseling. My medical condition has impacted my life tremendously because I have not been able to drive, go anywhere by myself, work, go on road trips, go for walks, certain things around the house. Friends that I was close to are distant now or just gone from my life because I can't do things so why ask she's going to say no. I'm seeking help because I'm tired of always feeling like nobody understands that I'm really sick and its not in my head. The pain I feel is real even though I look fine. I'm tired of doctors guessing and with the autoimmune disease most doctors don't even by know what it is or even how to treat it. This burning sensation on my body is severe. Please Help!!!
