I have been diagnosed with Gastroparesis for a number of years. I have reached out and seen different GI specialists.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I have numerous surgeries including a Gastro Pacemaker and an Inter-Stim Pacemaker for the bladder. I have had kem- ports over a lengthy time and have been diagnosed with Gastroparesis which is "Rare". The last several years my health has really taken a declined. My pain level is increasing, nausea all of the time, severe constipation. I also have an Ileostomy to which it does not produce no more than 1/8 cup daily. I realize that I have a lot of scar tissue growth from previous surgeries. I am needing assistance do to this disease. I have seen GI specialists at MUSC (Charleston, SC), University of Jackson (Jackson, MS),
Mc Cloud Clinic ( NC), CCN ( Charlotte, NC) and University of Kentucky ( Louisville, KY). They are have all did a series of blood work including IVIG and abdominal scans. This disease effects less than 200,000 people in the world. I have been told by NIH in Washington, DC that this disease ha "No Cure". I believe that- I have seen people die from this disease. The doctors that I have seen just look at the results and share with me there is "NOTHING THEY CAN DO"! Please help me!I don't know how much longer I can keep going and not producing fecal out of my body. I know that the inside of my body is very infected for this. All I want is for a doctor to HELP ME!
