- CASE FILE
3 years ago I began experiencing extreme pain and weakness in my extremities. I have been to 19 doctors during this time, with no help.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
3 years ago I was active and happy. I went to the gym 3-4 times a week. One day at the gym, my body just froze, after several minutes I was able to drag myself out to my car and drive home. My life has never been the same. I began with doctors appointments the following week, and have been to 19 different doctors, and 6 emergency rooms/facilities since.
So far the only diagnosis has been Paraneoplasty autoimmune disorder with positive voltage gated calcium channels. A PET scan identified 4 nodules in my right lung. Follow up scans have shown these growing in size and number, as well as spreading to the left lung. A bronchial in 2019 has shown no malignancies. A brain scan was done to rule out MS, although there was clouding on my brain, it was not significant enough. I have had biopsies on my arms and legs that were also within normal parameters. I have gone to the ER 7 times since the onset, all they do is IV morphine and rest. I feel my life is over as I can not do most activities I enjoyed previously. I have seen the bright light, more than once, and desperately wanted to go to it. Recently I have developed a lump in my throat that makes it hard to swallow, and severe chest pain that makes me scream anytime I take a deep breath.
I don't know if anyone can help me.
