- CASE FILE
My daughter is suffering from painful red rashes that suddenly appeared after lymph node removal. They burn, no itching, very painful.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
In May of 2019 my daughter went to an ENT about her swollen lymph nodes in her neck along with fatigue and joint pain. After seeing her, he recommended lymph node removal feeling she had non Hodgkin's lymphoma. The results came back negative. His only response was it must be some sort of auto immune disorder, and has referred her elsewhere. We are currently waiting to be seen.
Since then she has developed unexplainable rashes on her hands and arms, they are round , not raised, don't itch, but feel like they are burning. Sudden outbreaks of hives all over her body, which those do itch, joint pain and swelling, sudden swelling of lips, swelling of feet, hard painful nodules under the skin, petichia on lower extremities, extreme fatigue, can't stand for long periods of time.
Her labs indicated her ANA test was elevated, anti Smith antibody was positive, WBC normal RED blood cell normal, Rheumatoid factor was negative, platelets normal.
I'm working with the hope someone can help her. She's 19 just starting life in her own, yet she's in pain everyday. She lives with her boyfriend of 5 years and her cat.
She works 5 days a week at a bank call center, typing which causes her significant pain due to the rash all over her hands. The pain from touching objects, warm water, holding hands, the simple things we take for granted cause her pain.
It is breaking my heart, I text her every morning to ask how she feels that day, and every time I get a ball in my stomach worried what hurts today.
