I've had extreme pain and nausea that my doctor believes is caused by an untreated UTI which lead to swollen lymph nodes.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
For about two months now I've been experiencing extreme pain and nausea. I went to two doctors who thought it was just a virus before I finally was so dehydrated from not even being able to keep down water that I went to the emergency room. There they did an EKG, blood test, urine test, and CT Scan. With those results they said they believe I had a UTI for months with none of the usual symptoms so it went untreated which lead to swollen lymph nodes in my abdomen. They prescribed me an antibiotic for the UTI and Phenergan for nausea. She said the lymph nodes will be uncomfortable, but shouldn't hurt or spread, and they will go away on their own after about 2 weeks. However, it's been a month since then and the pain has gotten worse. The swollen lymph nodes also have spread throughout my entire abdomen, legs, feet, and armpits. No one knows what's wrong and keeps saying to wait it out that it will subside on its own. I have to disagree considering my pain is just getting worse and spreading through my body. The pain is debilitating and leaves me in bed for days at a time. School is starting soon and I need help so I'll be able to go to class and function.
