- CASE FILE
On January 21, 2015 10:23pm it felt like a bolt of electricity hit my heart. Ever since I have been in extreme pain in upper extremities.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I have been diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. It began within my chest, and left upper extremity. Over the past four and half years it has spread to my back, right upper extremity, neck, head (including face, and mouth), and lungs. Although I have a diagnosis I am considered an anomaly as 1) there is no known injury linked to the CRPS (aside from being able to pinpoint when it started), 2) the symptoms now mirror each other, 3) symptoms are affected above the neck, 4) known treatments have been unsuccessful (nerve blocks, occupational therapy, numerous medications), 5) all tests and imaging show normal results.
