Chiari Malformation type 1, Syringomyelia, POTS, and IIH suffer
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
In July 2015 I woke up really dizzy and not being able to move my head or neck. I was diagnosed with chiari malformation type 1 and syringomyelia about a month later I had posterior fossa decompression which didn't help. Since then I've been diagnosed with Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, Idiopathic intracranial hypertension, and polycystic kidney disease. I have seen 4 neurosurgeons and have tried numerous different medicines nothing has helped. I'm in a lot of pain that it's hard to get out of bed most days. I have had to stop working because of medical issues and most days be home bound. Because of my memory I can no longer cook for myself, I need help showering, and simple day to day activities. Most of my pain is in my head, neck, and back.
