ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
Issues began in June. Since then I have had to miss a lot of work due to either being in doctors offices, the hospital, or ER. I have been diagnosed with diverticulitis/colitis, which resolved. I have a positive ANA with a speckled pattern, so they are thinking maybe Lupus but are running other tests. I do have the butterfly rash on my face that gets worse if exposed to sun. I have been getting weaker and more sick every week since it all started. I’m constantly dizzy. They can’t explain why. Antivert isn’t working. The past week, I had a terrible GI virus that landed me in the hospital and admitted. Dehydration just made the dizziness, weakness, and nausea worse. I couldn’t keep food or liquid in my system for over 5 days. I am constantly in pain and tired. I used to be very active and happy before all of this. I have a 6 year old and I cry constantly because I can’t do the stuff I’m used to doing with her. I have unexplained tachycardia, which I’m being referred to an electrophysiologist for. Every time I’m active, no matter how minor the movement, my heart rate spikes way too much and creates shortness of breath, chest pain, and more dizziness. I am being referred to an ENT, to see if my ears are causing the dizziness, since I do have ringing in my ears and sensitivity to sounds. I keep randomly getting mouth sores all over the inside of my mouth and gums. I am waiting for the appointment to see a rheumatologist, but that takes a ridiculous amount of time. So i will get no relief until I do. I am tired of being miserable every day. More than anything, I want answers so I can go back to being the mother and wife I want to be, along with go back to work and continue my schooling. They have given me medicine to control the symptoms but they hardly make a difference. Basically, they have told me they have no idea what is causing all of this. My labs all are normal for the most part. Except the ANA as previously mentioned, potassium is usually a little low, and sometimes a higher TSH.
