- CASE FILE
Idiopathic Cervical Dystonia - uncontrollable head, neck and shoulder movement. No known cure.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I went to bed one night a completely healthy 45 yr old. The next morning I woke up with a painful, uncontrollable “no-no” tremor with chin-to-shoulder pulls and unusual posturing. Chronic migraines, shoulder, neck and back pain are only relieved with Botox injections, but these can’t help the embarrassment and isolation that has crippled me both personally and professionally (Diagnostic sonographer) due to this illness. I have been told by my neurologist that there is no known cause nor cure. My biggest question is, was this caused by my anti-anxiety medication?
