- CASE FILE
I was a 4 time powerlifting world record holder. Within 6 months, I could not lift even 1/2 of what I was 6 months earlier.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I was diagnosed 5 yrs later with a pituitary microadenoma. My labs are normal now with the increase of synthroid to 250mcg. I am extremely exhausted and can barely get through the day. When I lost strength I had a hormone panel and it was normal, including testosterone. Its gotten progressively worse. I order 16 pound bags of dog food because I cant lift the 40 pound bags. The endo initially told me I was getting older. I do not believe you age in 6 months.
I do have joint damage from the amounts I was lifting in competition. However, the extreme fatigue is new. If I take out the garbage, I have to rest or even lay down.
The endocrinologist can find no reason for this. I have MRI's every 6 months and the adenoma has not grown.
