ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
In 2009, I was diagnosed with Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome after having a DVT the length of my thigh. After 8 years of relative normalcy, I was hospitalized 5 times in 6 weeks in early 2017. The first was for a pulmonary embolism. The second and third was for budd-chiari syndrome (a blood coot in my liver). Fourth and fifth were unexplained extreme pain, one causing me to pass out and start vomiting. Since this, my LFTs have yet to normalized. I had a biopsy in 2017 which showed nothing exciting and no signs of a blood clot. I have been experiencing symptoms such as itching, trouble sleeping, night sweats. My third Hepatologist thought I had autoimmune hepatitis but her treatment plan (steroids) is not working. I am so ready to understand what is going on and am so ready for an effective treatment plan.
