ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I am a healthy 50 year old female other than the fact that I have had hives almost constantly over the last 8 years. I have been diagnosed with chronic hives but no answer as to why. I have been seen by an allergist and a dermatologist. Have had all kinds of blood tests done all coming back as normal.
I get hives when I have pressure on my skin. When I get a new pair of shoes or wear flip flops at the beginning of the summer. Sometimes they come and I have no idea why. I can have huge welts or just small “mosquito” bite sized breakouts. I can have them all over my torso, knee area, hands, toes and other “sensitive” areas.
Symptoms are severe itching, intense burning feeling and skin sensitive to the touch.
