ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I started experiencing different debilitating symptoms back in my 20's. I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome when I was around 30. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia at around 45. I am 51 now and my symptoms have only grown worse and more severe. I can remember at the age of 30 eating at a Chinese restaurant buffet and consuming MSG and became horribly ill with what felt like the flu for 4 or 5 days. I have always had great sensitivities to medicine, foods and skin and hair products. Just in the last 2 years the sensitivity to smells, chemicals etc has only got worse. It feels like my body's adrenaline has flipped a switch to high speed. It keeps me from sleeping, it makes it difficult to focus or gather my thoughts. My heart races and my ringing in my ears are at an all time high. I've went to the ER many times and have given up going and doing that because I constantly get told it is anxiety when I know it is not. Anxiety does kick in when I get scared because of how my body is reacting to different things. I had my dr a couple of years ago check some hormone levels and discovered that my estrogen was way high and off the normal charts. I have been diagnosed with a pretty significant ovarian cyst on my left side and have a history of them most of my adult life. I have also been told my body has adrenal fatigue and is constantly in fight or flight mode. I cannot hold down a job to save my life, I always get so drained and sick that I feel like I am going to keel over. I have always been a very slender person most of my whole life and in the last 4 years I have put on a great deal of weight. I can eat right and exercise and still do not lose any weight. When I was younger I was sometimes underweight and couldn't put weight on. I would like to see if anyone can help me figure out why I am always feeling so terrible.
