ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
Ehlers Danlos Syndrome is a spectrum syndrome that deals with a genetic defect in the production of collagen. It can affect every aspect of your body from your organs to your skin and joints. Because it can affect so many areas it is comorbid with many other rare issues including, but not limited to, Dysautonomia/POTS, Chiari Malformation, Migraines, Endometriosis, ME/CFS, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, Scoliosis, Degenerative Disc Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Arthritis, Craniocervical Instability, Spine Degeneration, Neuropathy, Aortic Aneurysm, Anxiety, Depression, ADD, ADHD, Autism, Aspergers, Celiac’s Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Diverticulitis, Diverticulosis, Lymphadenopathy, Lesions, Organ Polyps, Chronic Pain, CRPS, Sciatica, Chronic Sinusitis, Allergic Rhinitis, Chronic Bronchitis and many more. Many doctors believe that it’s unlikely to have more than one rare disease. Unfortunately, with EDS, it’s common.
