Horrific migraines & fibromyalgia... desperately needing a repreive.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I suffer from horrific, atypical chronic migraines, that are unexplainable. Diagnosed some years ago as vestibular migraines. I've had scans, tried and failed a plethora of meds (minus NSAIDS, as I'm post-op gastric bypass), steriod-nerve block -no relief, Botox (2 rounds) -no relief, Aimovig - reduced qty & severity for a couple months then stopped working, Emgality -increased qty/severity for the week following injection, no change there after.
I take Fioricet & Flexeril (my neck & shoulder muscles are never relaxed) as needed, which is entirely too frequently, unfortunately it doesn't always work, and when it does, it usually just takes the edge off.
The type of pain has morphed over the years, the pain is usually a general all over pain, for the last year or so the more severe migraines also include, what I can only explain as a digging, ice pick to the skull pain, usually occurring in 2 spots (not always the same spots).
Triggers, I have several, most notable, scents, barometric changes, weather/ temps high & low, hormonal...
Other issues... fibromyalgia & vertigo, both diagnosed approximately 20 years ago. I have also have frequent GI issues (diarrhea, frequency, urgency), I have no idea if this is related, but it's definitely an issue.
