Loosing vision in both eyes. Started 3 to 4 years ago. Doctors have given up and don't know what to or what the cause is.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
Woke up 3 to 4 years ago with a gray spot in the corner of my right eye, as the day went on it turned into a black shade being pulled down in front of my eye. Before it happened I had bad swelling in the back on my neck and horrible headaches. Jaw pain and pain on the right side of my face. Bad heartburn and rapid heartbeat only when I lay down to sleep. Doctors think it should be MS but nothing showed on MRI. A specialist said it was strokes. He says the nerve is dead and I will not regain vision. It's happened 3 times now to both eyes. Once in my right eye and twice in my left. When I lay my head on a pillow the pressure will make me loose vision temporarily. It feels like your arm falling asleep and slowly waking up. I've seen 27 doctors in the last 3 years. Several eye doctors, neruoptomologists, neurologists and they don't know what the cause is or how to prevent it from happening again. I'm on aspirin and that's all. They don't have another test to perform now They say. They think it's cardiovascular but all my tests come back great. I've had a spinal tap, tons of blood work, 2 MRI, steroids, etc. I'm afraid to fall asleep. Now I can barely see and at night my heart beats so fast I can't sleep. I'm afraid it will happen again and I'll be fully blind. It happens with swelling of the back of my neck, dizziness, and a head ache on the top of my head or the side of my head. A few days later I will wake up and have more vision loss. Ask any questions as I'm sure I'm leaving a lot of information out.
