- CASE FILE
3 years I have watched my teen daughter her loose her ability to write, to walk and drive, she has lost friends & she needs her life back
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
three years ago she began throwing up unexpectedly at random times. She then started to feel dizzy and nauseated almost all the time. We were given a diagnosis of dysautonomia but last year she began having periodic paralysis on her right side. She has lost her ability to hold writing utensils or sign her name. She can barely walk or exert herself before her right leg starts to feel weak and go numb. She still feels sick and in pain most days and has difficulty remembering things or being out in the heat. She has spent the last three years doing school on homebound. She graduated early but barely was able to walk across the stage at graduation. Because she is so easily fatigued, has difficulty with walking and cannot tolerate heat she has slowly lost all of her friends. We have been to several doctors and have traveled out of state to see specialists but so far none have given us the hope that things will improve and she is slowly getting worse. She is watching kids her age go off to school and she struggles to get off the couch. She just wants to be a normal kid and we want her to have her life back.
