ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
In 2016 I had a car accident and my left side of my body was slammed into the side of the car. I instantly had nerve pain down my left arm. I went to hospital and had xrays/mris done with nothing noted abnormal. I continued to experience the nerve pain and had mris done of cervical and thoracic spine. Slight bulging and small herniated discs noted but not considered to be causing any problems. Neurology diagnosed me with RSD and sent me to a physiatrist . After many appointments I was diagnosed with severe muscle spasms and fibromyalgia. As the time went by my nerve pain spread through out my body and so did the muscle spasms. I have been prescribed 18 medications with very little relief. I was talked into doing 12 botox injections to my back which backfired and left my muscles paralyzed for 6 weeks. Going between both specialties it was decided I needed a brain mri to rule out a neuromuscular disorder. My brain scan showed a tumor in the left frontal
lobe of my brain about the size of a walnut. I have been monitored for a year at this point with no change and we are in a wait and watch approach. My spams are so severe that i have been hospitalized twice. The latest hospital stay was do to my chest going into spasm and I was unable to breath and had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital. After the administration of muscle relaxers, I was able to breath normally. My EKG showed a inverted t wave and I was sent for a battery of cardiology test all of which were normal. Bloodwork is all normal, including all test for RA,Lupus, Lymes. My muscle spasms are causing my muscle to grow and me to lose a significant amount of weight. I have changed my diet no gluten, no dairy and no sugar to help with inflammation. I go the chiropractor twice a week and have tried acupuncture. Currently my pain/ muscle spams are all over my body with no rhyme or reason as to wear they might show up. They are so severe that my joints have been dislocated due to them. I’m in constant pain even with the medication i have found that takes the edge off. I have extreme fatigue and must lay down multiple times during the day. Sitting down does not relieve my pain. I had to go on disability and can not work. I have also been diagnosed with Raynauds syndrome, IBS, GERD and I have had my gallbladder removed, 3 c-sections and a hernia repair.
