ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I fell and broke my neck 5 years ago it went misdiagnosed for 5 months, I started to notice heaviness a couple weeks after I fell but I really didn't think too much about it at first because the hospital said that everything was fine! By this time when on the heaviness got so bad that I basically lived in my living room, I would go to stand up and it felt like somebody through a 700 pound weight cape on me!! Finally after many trips to the doctor and hospital they found that I had a broken neck and I went to Pittsburgh and had surgery I went to a rehabilitation center for physical therapy and I honestly felt like the heaviness was a little bit better but it was still there so I was hopeful but after a while the heaviness is really bad again!! My husband and I have read several cases about people who have spinal cord injuries and they are either paraplegic quadriplegic but we have never come across a case where somebody could still walk a little distance but had severe heaviness!! I have peripheral neuropathy and I know it's bad but the heaviness never appeared until after I broke my neck!! It's very difficult to walk or even take a drink of water, my husband is a huge help and does everything for me, grocery shopping, clean the house, pays the bills, etc.. also when I fell I was dx with concussion syndrome!! I stay in my chair or bed everyday, I'm home bound unless I go to a Dr appointment, I have burning in my muscles too! I need help, advise, ideas, I have been to alot of Drs and I'm tired of this journey, I need answers! My husband and daughter thinks this can be fixed and I try to stay positive but it's very difficult because I suffer from clinical depression and anxiety and I have to be very careful with the depression because I will lay in bed and cry till I have to be hospitalized and I avoid that at all costs!!
