I’m living with general Dystonia
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I have been living with Dystonia for years, it started when I was about 12 with my right foot contracting (first doctors thought it was club foot) years later I started having difficulty holding a pencil to write legibly in school. Years after that my physician got an interest in my case and she believed I had Dystonia, she then referred me to a neurologist and they agreed with her, seen neurologist in UCLA, Loma Linda university and other places. A week before my 21st birthday my tongue started to spasm it became really difficult to speak, chew my food and swallow my food, I’ve tried many many medications but none really seem to help. Having difficulty with eating is the worst not being able to chew and swallow my food makes everything so much more difficult last year I had to be on a basically all liquid diet and sometimes I have to purée my food just to be able to eat it. Wish they could find a cure for Dystonia because living like this is difficult. Thanks for your time.
