- CASE FILE
Sudden Hearing Loss right ear and Acoustic Neuroma left era. Both are uncommon. Anyone else have both?
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
Sudden Sensorial Hearing Loss ( SSHL right ear); acoustic neuroma (AN left ear); tinnitus; exploding head syndrome; musical ear syndrome; Variable hearing from cochlear implant. Some days my husband sounds like Darth Vader; other days he sounds like Darth Micky; some days sound are muted. Other CI users say they the quality and volume of the sound from their CI never changes. They use one processor program and never have to change it. After 5 years, I still use my remote to tweak processor settings. I also have Monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance; Peripheral Neuropathy; chronic constipation; lower back pain which may not be related. Both SSHL and AN are uncommon and supposedly unrelated. I would love to talk to someone else who has both.
