I’ve been suffering for 13 years with awful symptoms and flares, which causes me to be laid up, feeling so sick, like I have a major illness
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I am 33 years old, 5’7”, 120 lbs. 13 years ago at age 20, I had bad stomach pain, nausea, fatigue, and chest pain daily. After months of testing, doctors ruled it as Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Gastritis, and Raynauds Phenomenon. No medications helped. At 11 years old I got a tick bite- I’ve since been tested for Lyme Disease, which came out negative. At 17 I had Epstein Barr and walking pneumonia, but the Epstein Barr is since dormant. I also had Gestational Diabetes about 9 years ago at 24- it was severe, but left when I had my son. I was then and still now about 120 pounds, at 5’7”. July of 2018 I had double Bunionectomy and Osteotomy. No other surgeries or illnesses. This past year since August 2018, I’ve had more new symptoms during “flares”, which cause me to be laid up because they make me feel so awful. These are different and not related to the IBS and Gastritis. The symptoms are: Burning eyes, Burning face, Hot/sweating, Head/ear pressure, Migraine, Light sensitivity, Dizziness, Feeling ‘out of it’, Shaky/jittery, Heart racing, Nausea/burning in stomach, Stomach pain, Pelvic pain/cramps, Burning in chest, Shortness of breath, Weak/fatigued, Body and skin hurts, Diarrhea. These flares are becoming more frequent- 2-3 a month, and they will last about a week. The past year I’ve been to a Cardiologist, Pulmonologist, Neurologist, Rheumatologist, Endocrinologist, Gynecologist, and Allergist, had an ultrasound of my abdomen and organs, and have had extensive testing done. Everything came out normal at all the specialists, except for the Rheumatologist which stated my Anti-Nuclear Antibodies were positive, and doctors couldn’t find out a solution as to why (I’ve had some say in the past that it MAY be Lupus, but it was never proven on the tests). Also at the Gynecologist- I have irregular menstrual cycles (basically non-existent), and after testing it was shown I MAY have a little endometriosis (which is hard to prove). I’m happily married for 11 years, have an amazing 9 year old son, I have a small succulent business which I love to do when I feel good, I have had no major life events happen recently, I’m not depressed, I don’t have stress or anxiety, and I don’t work because of how awful I feel (all the things doctors ask me). I used to be active, have energy, and wanted to clean, garden, play sports, etc., but now I just feel awful most of the time, like I’m dying, and can’t do anything. I am desperate for answers so I can fix what is going on and go back to normal and feeling well. Please help! Thank you!
