I am 49 year old male that has been dealing with Chronic Pain from a Herniated Disc surgery in 2012 in tailbone and left leg.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I have been dealing with chronic pain ever since a herniated disk in 2012 L5-S1. Post surgery I continued to have pain. Dr's said I had permanent nerve damage and there was nothing I could do but wait and see if it got better. It never has. I have been to multiple surgeons, pain management centers. I have been given epideral injections, lidocaine infusions, ketamine infusions, prolotherapy, and multiple drugs including homeopathic CBD. All has failed. Percocet has been the pain management of choice but I feel I am getting worse. I have had a genetic test to see what meds work best for me called genesight. It recommends higher meds and I have not tried those yet as I would prefer not to keep using pain meds unless it is my only option. I have been told I cannot have any ablation or nerve blocks on the area as i may lose function in my left leg. I am at a pain level of at least 8 everyday of my life. The pain never goes away. Like everyone I am tired of not finding a solution that works and I can have a life. I have to sit and drive long distances for my job and it is excruciating.
