Loss of use of my left hand & arm has derailed my 30 yr real estate career & made daily chores difficult. Possibly CorticoBasal Degeneration
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I have currently no use of my left hand and arm. It has been possibly diagnosed as Cortico Basal Deneration but that's an educated guess by a neurologist (Apparently only confirmed with a brain slice after death) This disease progresses from limb to limb until one is totally useless and dies of usually pneumonia. It seems to be so rare that drug companies can't make money on a cure thus no aggressive research that I find. However, 'I have no concrete diagnosis either. I have had MRIs of head, neck and brain & a nerve conduction study & physical therapy - to no avail. One Parkinson Dr. suggested I try Levadopa to see if it helped in any way but it only made me sleep all the time and have no motivation. Could you please help me find a definite diagnosis and a way to stop the progression before I'm immobile.Thank you so much and thank you for this wonderful program.
