ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I have a diagnosis of scleroderma. I was diagnosed several years ago. Over the past 10 years I have lost a tremendous amount of weight. The doctors tell me that the scleroderma effects my organs. My esophagus has slowed working and I struggle with swallowing everything. My stomach has seemed to stopped working. I struggle with even drinking water. I’ve had a prolapsed rectum and has surgery to correct that. I have had multiple hospitalizations for what is believed to be obstructions but sometimes they cannot find it. Is this all related to scleroderma? My doctors cannot seem to help me. I am struggling every day to keep going. Some days I think my body is shutting down. I have grandchildren who I cannot play with who need me. Every day feels worse. Every hospitalizations gets scarier. I need someone to help me find an accurate diagnosis and some treatments that might work.
