ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I am a 42 year old woman. I have had problems with my joints since I could walk. At first, I got huge sores that wrapped around my knees. The doctors said it was chicken pox and not to worry. The joint pain would be so bad I would refuse to walk. By the time I was 6 the doctors said it was rheumatoid arthritis even though I had a negative blood test. When I was 10 I was told it was just arthritis. This is when I remember I started to have subluxations. EDS and Marfans run in my family. At 5’3” I know I don’t have marfans. At one point we were looking at Lyme disease as a possible diagnosis. The most recent diagnosis is undifferentiated connect tissue disease. Basically I was told I have lupus but I have a negative ANA. My C-RP is always elevated. I have been to many doctors and no one can give me a diagnosis that fits. And because of my psych problems I have been told it’s all in my head. And that is something I can’t accept.
