Here on behalf of my mom. She’s had chronic stomach pains for a very long time. I don’t believe it’s IBS like suggested. Please help!
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
My mother has been dealing with chronic stomach pains for over 30 years now. She had her gallbladder removed after my brother was born (28yrs), several years later she had issues with scar tissue and in the process of removing it they knicked her pancreas. She’s suffered off and on from pancreatitis. Everything was well maintained for several years but within the last two years they only seem to be getting worse. The doctors keep telling her that it’s IBS but we all feel like they’re missing something. She’s in massive amounts of pain multiple days out of the month. When the cramping hits her she either ends up in the ER or taking very heavy pain narcotics, which drain all of her energy for days. She’s been through more testing than I can count; colonoscopy, CT scan, ultrasound, X-ray, endoscopy, been tested for chrones, thyroid, celiac disease etc. I really want to find some answers for her. I don’t think it’s right that she continues to live in pain. Please help us.
