ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I'm currently going on 8 years of being a medical mystery. I got surgery for Achalasia (an esophagus motility disease) in 2011 after swallowing problems, which caused complications. Sepsis, C-Diff, and a pulmonary embolism combined with malnutrition all within 2 months of delivering my 2nd baby made for a rough year. The bloating started after that, with extreme distention and pain after eating certain things. I went gluten and dairy free, but found little relief. Was on a feeding tube for 5 months to help gain weight. Went to Johns Hopkins for more help and answers, but never fully got better. My menstrual cycle was gone for 6 years and I had lost most of my hair, and had unexplained low white blood cell count. They call it LGL Leukemia but it's not quite leukemia. Went on Cyclosporine in 2016 to suppress my immune system and try to reset my system, and it worked! Was able to get pregnant and have another baby. A year later, my old bad bloating episodes and weight loss started coming back. Now I'm back on a feeding tube, have a PICC line for TPN which gives me all of my nutrients, but I'm still not gaining weight. Everything I eat makes me sick, bloated, and in pain. My esophagus, stomach, bowels, and colon are all sluggish, slow, and sometimes paralyzed. Doctors don't know what the root cause of all of this is. I've seen dozens, if not a hundred doctors and specialists, have been tested for so many things that have all come back negative. Help!!
