- CASE FILE
My boyfriend took a fall at work was diagnosed with a concussion. Three months later diagnosed with cryptococcal meningitis.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
Six months (in hospitals the whole time) after diagnosis battling it for a second time and with seizures. Think they are missing something. He’s 46yrs old, not an hiv, cancer or organ donor. Been on feeding tube, catheter (front & back), blood clots, bed ulcer, multiple infections and following protocol for the 8 week Antifungal treatment. Has had a drain tube put in and removed. Tests often show nothing until the extreme happens swelling/fluid on brain and seizures. I need help making sure this is what it is and that all options are being utilized.
