I have been diagnosed with PVNS (Pigmented Villonodular Synovitis) for over 8 years and I have had 8 surgeries on my right knee but no cure.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I have been diagnosed with PVNS for 8+ years and have had a total of 8 surgeries as well as radiation therapy in which did not make the tumors dissolve. This has been localized to only my right knee but has limited me in many activities such as walking, climbing stairs or standing for long periods of time. I have placed so much pressure on my left knee that I am needing to have a total knee replacement but doctors are denying me because they say that I am to young. So I am dealing with the pain in my left knee and the PVNS pain in my right knee which also keeps me awake at night. I have recently started to see a new doctor as my last Ortho doctor verbal told me that he was tired of ding the surgeries on my knee. I am just ready to have my life back and want these tumors to stop coming back. I have not been able to find any solution but surgery and that is very temporary as one year I had to have surgery twice in on year because the tumors were that aggressive. Please Help!
