Had a level 1 minimal invasive discectomy L5-S1 almost a year ago and ended up with inflamed spine, numbness, weakness, and gait in legs.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
Had minimal invasive discectomy surgery 9/2018 for back pain and ended up with more complications then what I went in for. Went to Mayo Clinic for help to see if they could figure out what happened and still waiting for answers. So far Mayo has stated Suspected myelopathy with progressive bilateral lower extremity numbness, weakness, and back pain. Hyper reflex is and mute plantar responses with significant impaired vibration sensations and proprioception in lower extremities. MRI of brain showed smooth dural thickening and enhancement along right frontoparietal convexity extending vertex. Hospitalized 3 due to this condition within 6 months. Condition is worsening with no true diagnosis from Mayo Clinic as yet.
