- CASE FILE
My mom passed away at 45 and I now have two arterial dissections of my renal & vertebral arteries. No one has been able to diagnose me.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I have GERD , hiatal hernia, left vertebral artery dissection, left renal artery dissection, parastesia in hands and feet and left side of face, hearing loss, orthostatic hypotension, vertigo and always feel tired. I have a history of aortic aneurysms as my mom passed away at 45 years old. I have ectasia of the ascending aorta, tortuosity of my internal carotid arteries & vertebral arteries and all have been confirmed by cat scans with dye. I see a neurologist, 2 geneticists, cardiologist and thoracic surgeon and had Botox injections to stop the pain and numbness I feel on a daily basis. My health has declined over the last year & my son has autism and I can’t even go on bike rides with him. No one can tell me what I have, all they say is it is a connective tissue disorder. I have pain in my neck, my stomach and feel like I may faint at anytime. One Dr. said he thinks I may have mast cell activation throughout my body. I am confused as to wether this is genetic or autoimmune in nature. All my genetic tests came back variant of uncertain significance for the COL5A1 and MYH11 and FBN2.I take a baby aspirin daily and live in constant fear I will not make it to my 45th birthday, like my mom. I need your help and just want to know what I have so I can get back to my life.
