I'm drowing in my own fluid. 8 inches of trunk swelling over 2 years w/o weight gain. CT, heart thyroid/kidneys/liver/lungs/pancreas ok.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
2017 to now, 8 inch increase in chest swelling, less swelling in morning but up 2-3 inches w/ pain by 4 pm. It never goes back down to original size. NO swelling in legs or feet. Gravity doesn't pull the fluid down! Thyroid normal. CTs and blood panels all normal except for slightly elevated C-reactive protein of 5.7. My CTs, MRI and xray are normal. Cardiac workup last year was normal. No discoloration. My back is spongy like a bog, no pitting. Also swells when fasting for a test. Acupuncture drops 2-3lbs of fluid but swelling hurts like hell as it returns in next 8 hrs. My doctors have ruled out heart, thyroid, sleep apnea, diabetes, clots, etc. The pressure on my ribs and heart is causing pain and beginning BP problems. I had unexplained severe abdominal pain for 7 years due to titanium surgical tacks which don't show up on CTs. In Jan 2019 an exploratory surgery found 7 tacks clustered in one area shredding my abdominal muscles and chronic inflammation. They removed 11 more from intestines to my ribs. The tacks had been used to anchor my hernia mesh in 2012. The trunk swelling started a year before the 2019 surgery to remove tacks. The trunk swelling is higher up at the bra line. No stomach protrusion but tested for H. phylorea, negative. Not Tietz.
