Sudden onset severe left sided pain with numbness, back pain, neck pain and stiffness with daily headaches for 5 years
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
Before 5 years ago I didn’t take any daily medication. Now I take over 15 pills a day between prescribed medications and vitamins. The symptoms were so sudden that I thought I was having a stroke, which was ruled out. I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia but I have not heard of fibromyalgia just affecting the left side of the body. The pain is more severe in the morning and when sitting for a long period of time. Oddly I found that if I take Sudafed the symptoms decrease somewhat. Of course I can’t take that all the time. I feel as though I need to be stretched because my muscles, especially in the neck and upper back, are so tight. Sometimes I get a shooting pain in my neck, arm or leg that feels like a severe pulled muscle. I have done a lot of physical therapy, chiropractic and of course many different medications that just don’t work well. All of my labs, CT and MRI scans are normal.
