Was diagnosed August 2018 with portal vein thrombosis. Starts in Superior mesentric vein. Have severe abdominal pain.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
Have portal vein thrombosis after have gallbladder removed. No reason for blood clot. All genetic testing is negative. No history or family history of blood clots. Have severe abdominal pain, enlarged spleen, varices on the esophagus and around pancreas, stomach and spleen. Portal hypertension and slight cardiomegaly. Am nauseated and have diarrhea constantly. I have also just recently developed little red spots on my legs, like petechiae. No answers no help. Doctors say condition is rare and that I'm special. 3 of the doctors i have seen said they have never seen this and primary physician had to Google it. I just want my normal life back and to not be in pain.
