- CASE FILE
I have an autoimmune disease that's attacking my nervous & endocrine systems w/paraneoplastic antibodies and elevated tumor markers.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I have been diagnosed with Seronegative Myasthenia gravis, Autonomic and Sensory Neuropathy, Hashimoto's Encephalopathy and Thyroiditis, Adrenal Insufficiency, Carcinoid Syndrome, and Anemia. Though I have been given multiple diagnoses, none of them fit my case completely. My treating neurologist believes there is a unifying diagnosis yet to be determined. I have tested positive to a number of auto-antibodies, including paraneoplastic antibodies, indicating the cause of my illness is autoimmune. My initial presentation was neurologic and endocrine autoimmunity, but in the years following I went on to develop severe lower abdominal pain, fevers, anemia, and have elevated cancer markers.
