ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I grew up with stomach problems and was finally diagnosed with IBS in college. I had some skin issues as well that they said was eczema and chillblains. Then one day I started to have severe muscle spasms that would start in my chest and would move throughout my whole body. Making it difficult to breathe and this would go on for hours. They were never able to find out the cause and luckily one day it stopped after months of being crippled by it. I still have them on rare occasions. I thought I was in the clear but I was wrong. I went to the doctors because I was having joint pain and stiffness in my hands, feet and knees. In just a month I was in so much pain I could hardly walk or use my hands. The feeling of fatigue became overwhelming. The specialist diagnosed me with RA at the time because of those symptoms. I got a little better but then new symptoms showed up. I started to lose feeling/have weakness in my legs, feet, hands and arms. It would come on suddenly and I would not be able to hold my body weight. Sometimes with this numbness I would have difficulty swallowing. I now have a constant pins and needles feeling in my calfs and arms. I then started to get stabbing pain throughout my body and severe sharp pain that comes on suddenly in the back of my head. I thought to myself this has to be it. I was again wrong...then came the heart attack symptoms. My heart would race, nausea would set in and I'd get severe chest pain that would go up my neck and into my jaw. I went to the hospital and all my test were clear. I also one day woke up with vertigo, it lasted almost a week. I still get dizzy/faint often now and have weird pain/full feeling in my right ear. My eyes have a hard time focusing and I have pressure in the middle of my eyebrows that doesn't go away. The newest of fun symptoms that I developed is I'm extremely hot all the time but have no fever. I've been to many doctors and have had tons of test done. I have so many symptoms that resemble, RA, Lupus, Fibromyalgia, MS, Thyroid issues, IBS, TMJ and the options continue. I've taken many types of medications for this with the strongest being a biologic but currently am taking nothing as they work to figure out what's going on. Doctors used to look at me like I was crazy and now they look at me with sadness. I'm exhausted like many others looking for answers and I'm begging to get some part of my life back.
