ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I feel so helpless and cannot work and enjoy time with my family any more. Back in 12/2017 I started having a problem with my vision in my right eye. I was first diagnosed with lyme disease and after treatment and not getting better it was further tested and I was diagnosed with Birdshot disease. I was placed on imuran to help with treatment of disease, 11/2018 I had a severe case of strep and had a case of strep ever month since. They switched me to Humira in april 2019 for the birdshot to see if that helped my reoccurring strep cases. My HR/BP changes started in 11/2018, I would notice I was SOB while at work and checked my pulse, it would be high then it would come down. It has slowly gotten worse over the months and in 5/2019 I went to the ER for HR sustaining at 150. By the time I was taken back it had finally started to decrease to 120. I have now been diagnosed with POTS, they tried 2 different medications first (midodrine and corlanor), which didn't help. Propranolol has helped bring the rate down but still feeling lightheaded after standing, chest pains, flutters. I also started swimming as recommended by my cardiologist, which does not seem to make it better. I seem to continually get new symptoms and keep feeling worse. I have ear pain in my right ear along with pulsatile tinnitus in that ear. Migraines are on the right side as well. I'm always exhausted and now having a lot of forgetfulness. I was driving home one day and didn't recognize my surroundings for a few minutes. I cannot work right now due to all of my symptoms and due to falling at work. I've basically have had a full body imaging down and it is all coming back normal. My d-dimer is elevated and continues to trend upwards. No one seems to understand and they just keep saying "its normal we don't know why you are feeling this way." I have no idea what to do next, just sit at home and wait for the next symptom to start. I feel my husband and kids are missing out on a lot because I'm home sick or can't walk around places. Please help, they need me better.
