ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
10 years ago my wife started with losing feeling in feet, unexplained weight gain, within 6 months had gone to using cane, 6 months later in wheelchair. Within another 6 months lost central vision. When reflexes are tested there are no results.
We were told it was because of a severe B12 deficiency. Over the next few years we have been told several diagnosis so far, CIPD, COPD, NEUROPATHY, PERNICIOUS ANEMIA, GASTRITIS. Have been to many specialist. Neurologist, internal medicine, gastro, oncologist, neuro opthamologist. Latest diagnosis is severe copper deficiency in the blood. We would like a definite diagnosis or is this something that can be helped. Have been checked for Aids, hepatitus, liver disease, hyperthyroidism, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, guialm beret, multiple Mri and cat scans, upper and lower GI test, that all come back normal. Things dont taste or smell right at times. No high blood pressure, no high cholesterol, no diabetes a or b, no hepatitis b or c. She is constantly weak and exhausted feeling. My wife would like somewhat of her life back. She realizes that certain things may never come back, but would like an answer of a diagnosis
