Increase my hemoglobin in order to have kidney and bone marrow transplant.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I need help on how I can raise my hemoglobin and keep it up because a blood transfusion only keeps it up for a couple of days. It's just a temporary fix. I have kidney disease, Sickle Cell Anemia, Lupus, Seizures, ED, Hypertension, very very low Hemoglobin and a bunch of other little things going on with my body now. I need a new kidney and to have a bone marrow transplant but I can't do either one of those because of my very low hemoglobin. For years now, my doctor's have wondered how I function the way I do, on a normal basis with a hemoglobin that is always around 4 g/dl (grams per deciliter), everyday, all the time. Yes I'm tired a lot but don't normally feel it or realize it's that bad until it drops below 4 g/dl (grams per deciliter). But anyways, I've been dropped from many transplant list and have been told by many doctors/surgeons that they would not perform the surgery because my hemoglobin is so low. Low hemoglobin means no kidney transplant, no kidney transplant means no bone marrow transplant. Basically I can't have anything done or fixed until we can find a way to get my hemoglobin up and stay up, without constant blood transfusions. I need help on how I can raise my hemoglobin and keep it up because a blood transfusion only keeps it up for a couple of days. It's just a temporary fix. (I've had so many surgeries on my arm do to my fistula/graph and I'm so tired of them. I've been in the hospital way to many times because of infections cause at my dialysis sites). I just can't take this anymore. I really need a kidney transplant and then of course a bone marrow transplant
