Full diagnosis: Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa. Collagen VII is missing from his entire body. HIs skin is extremely fragile, as it blisters or tears away with any friction. There is no cure and no real treatment. The only thing we can do is protect with special dressings & clothing, and cover wounds until they heal. Patients with RDEB deal with severe pain, anxiety, malnutrition, infections, etc. Many RDEB patients die by age 30. The call Epidermolysis Bullosa the worst disease you've never heard of.
