ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
It starts with Severe Migraines, Lasting 3 to 4 days with ocular migraine face pain jaw pain and tightness, ringing in my ears intensifies, stiff neck sometimes, nausea, extreme dizziness and severe fatigue. Medication doesnt relieve it. Then the dizziness progresses to the point where I cant stand up straight, I feel like I am falling forwards, I cant walk properly because my legs are tight, spasming and weak. I cant control the way I walk I start walking with tight small steps, stooped over. (I do get muscle cramps in my legs consistently even when the other symptoms go away, and tight arches in both feet, I find it difficult to squat or kneel because it hurts my toes and behind my knees, everyone says drink more water for every symptom. I do. It does not help or change anything.) I get tingling numbness in my face around my mouth on the bottoms of my feet I feel like I have paper stuck to my foot, Tingling sensation in my feet and in my neck. I get a gripping pain in one or both of my legs for several hours at a time, then it goes away. Eventually everything goes away. I start to feel better. I feel less dizzy. The dizziness and tinitus never completely go away. A few months later I get the same thing. Same progression just about every time. It lays me out for about a month to a month and a half with recuperation. I cant work during this time. I lose my jobs. I have been to at least 5 doctors. Rheumatologists, Neurologists, Physical Therapy, Orthopedists, Had MRI brain and 1 of Neck, CT scan of neck and brain stem in Boston several years ago after 1st episode. No diagnosis, no lesions, no stroke. There was an angioma on inferior colliculi on MRI in 2016. No comment from Neurologist on that. I have a problem with my C1 vertibrae from Neck MRI, not sure what that is. I also get heart palpitations. I have to limit my activity. My heart rate goes way up from very little activity. Level 1 arhythmia was detected with Halter monitor several years ago when I experienced severe dizziness nausea, palpitations, light headedness. Also had carrotid ultrasound , technician said I had the most convoluted veins he had ever seen. Still, doctor didnt bat an eyelash. No one has given me ANY CLUE to what is going on. I get severely depressed when this comes on again. When I start to recover, Its a relief but its also like a shadow hanging over me, when is it going to come back? What is really wrong with me. Why is this Happening? Im not the same. I feel like my life is over. Im 54.
