ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
It has been 3 years since this all started. I fell on the porch and slammed into the steps. I was fine after that no pain nothing. A few weeks later I noticed that my left foot and calve was swollen. My mom is a nurse so I had her look at it and she told me to go see my Dr. because it could be a DVT. Went to see my Dr. and had ultra sounds of my legs and nothing was found. I was put on steroids to get the swelling down, but that didn’t do anything. A few weeks later I noticed the swelling went from the left leg to the right leg, again I went and had ultrasounds to make sure there wasn’t a blood clot. Everything was again normal. I was then sent to a rheumatologist and they did bloodwork looking for rheumatoid arthritis, sjrögrens, to anything that may have been rheumatological they did this 2 times and everything came back normal. At this point both my legs were swelling everyday and in pain, my primary Dr. then put me on tramadol and that didn’t help with the pain. So he then put me on a transdermal patch. I was sent to a specialist for veins and was told to wear compression socks to keep swelling down, the did not help. That Dr. told me there was nothing wrong just deep varicose veins and to put my legs up whenever I could. I was then sent to a pain management Dr. he had me start physical therapy and it didn’t help. Then he put me on Lyrica to assist with the pain and swelling. I then saw another pain management Dr. who gave me epidural shots which didn’t give me any relief it only mad me get very sick. This Dr. the gave me a caudal epidural which gave no relief and made me sick. Then was sent to another pain management Dr. who gave me shots in my SI joints and that didn’t help just made me very sick. I am now seeing a surgeon who has sent me for x-rays and MRI’s and the only thing that was seen was a small herniated disc with a little arthritis. He told me I’m tooting to have surgery because it would need to be done again in my lifetime. So now I am awaiting to have facet joint shots. I have gone from being a normal 35 year old spending time going out, spending time with friends, and doing normal things. Now I really don’t have a life because of this! I literally go to work come home and that’s it, because I am in so much pain. I want to be back to myself again. I have a 5 year old nephew that I can’t even play with because the pin gets so bad. I get very irritated by everything now. It has been affecting my work and I have been spoken to about it. I am a banker so I’m on my feet the majority of the day. I’ve seen so many Dr.’s and I feel like if they can’t figure it out I get sent to someone else. I don’t know where to turn anymore because no one has answers to what is going on.
