- CASE FILE
I have severe chronic pain in through my entire body along with seemingly unrelated symptoms no one can exactly pinpoint.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I’m seeking help because every treatment my doctors have tried either completely failed, or they have partially helped but the side effects were so severe I could not continue them. I deal with widespread pain through my entire body, and frequently have small spasms on top of that in varying locations. I can’t chase my son around like I wish I could, he’s going to be 1 soon. I’ve seen 4 rheumatologists, a geneticist, a cardiologist, a pulmonologist, and a neurologist. The best they can come up with is Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (which I agree with, there’s a family history), fibromyalgia, asthma (though they admit it isn’t, but don’t know what to call it), and neuropathy (he was not specific). I take a few medications now, but they are primarily for depression and anxiety. Doctors keep throwing medications at me that either do not help, or have horrific side effects. I am prescribed a narcotic, but to prevent becoming addicted I do not take them except in the event of an emergency.
