- CASE FILE
Flank pain, burning sensation across entire back and torso. Fatigue, weakness, low BP, dizziness, extreme weight loss (unintentional)
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
After many doctors/specialists visits, no diagnosis as to why I feel so awful. I do have an adrenal tumor on my left side. However, my endocrinologist feels that is inactive after blood tests came back normal. I have had multiple blood tests, x-rays, CT scans, ultrasounds, an MRI, a colonoscopy/endoscopy and a HIDA scan done (which tests the function of your liver, gall bladder) and nothing shows up that would explain why I feel like crap all the time.
My chief complaints are chronic pain in my right flank, sometimes so severe all I can do is bawl like a baby. Sometimes even pain meds don't help. My skin across my entire torso and back feels lime it's on fire, even though it's not red, trashy or hot to the touch. I'm dizzy quite often, my BP is borderline low, and I have muscle weakness most of the time. Simply climbing a flight of stairs takes forever, and by the time I get to the top I feel like I just climbed Mt. Everest. And most recently I've noticed that I'm shedding hair more than I used to.
I hope someone here can be the "A-Ha" that I need, because at 48 I AM am too young to feel so old and run down. Thanks for reading.
