- CASE FILE
I am 62 with chronic migraine headaches, fibromyalgia and non-culsive status epilepticus. I believe there is one main cause to my problems.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I grew up with headaches and complete lack of bladder control. I had bladder surgery at age 10 with no change. My sister began having headaches as a teenager, so my parents took us to the doctor and I was diagnosed with migraines. Started having seizures in 2000, diagnosed in 2001 as complex partial or non-convulsive status epilepticus and controlled with medication. Stapes implant in left ear leaves ringing in left ear. Fibromyalgia diagnosed in 2012. I believe there is an underlying cause that triggers my nerves to fire, even making me see tiny black dots everywhere, whether my eyes are open or shut. I have been on disability since 2011, but I am trying to build a new house where I hope to live with a Siamese kitten and a Belgian Tervuren service dog. I am staying with my mother and feel nervous going anywhere since my last dog died. I have PTSD from childhood trauma. I have TBI and post concussion syndrome from multiple car accidents and falls from horses. During a seizure, I fell and hit my head on the corner of the cast iron wood stove and made a cut that needed five stitches at the top of my forehead. Now I have trouble making decisions and keeping up with my daily medications. My 88 year old mother is more active than I am, but I cannot stay with her much longer. I need to build my house and go back to my own life. I hope there is a cure for what has been going on with me all of my life.
