- CASE FILE
I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2011. Since then I've had 6 abdominal surgeries including a partial hysterectomy. I'm still in pain.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
It took 8 years to get the diagnosis of endometriosis. It's been another 8 trying to get it under control so I can function some what normally. I am in pain all day every day. Some days I can't get out of bed. Ive tried everything to get the pain to subside. Hot baths, ice, heating pads, NSAIDS, pain medication, various birth control pills, the depot shot, hormones and even chemotherapy. Ive had ablation and excision surgeries and had a partial hysterectomy only leaving my right ovary. This disease has forever changed my life and at this point it feels like putting a bandaid on a bullet hole. I have permanent nerve damage from the 6 surgeries I've undergone. I've left my town and my state trying to find a solution and have yet to find anything long term. I'm so frustrated and feel very lost on where to go from here. O just want to feel well, to be the best mother i can be to my amazing 11 year old son. To be able to make plans in advance and not have to cancel because I'm in so much pain I cannot stand up straight. I just need help.
